It would be great if Home Assistant could read the TV schedule and know when my favourite shows are coming on.
I know, there are so many channels!

There is no international repository of TV channel programmes. It is fractured into country and region, each with their own website and (usually) no public API. So you will have to scrape this information from the web yourself.
Home assistant no longer supports core integrations that rely on web scraping. Though it does provide a web scraping sensor.
Yep, the best I’ve found is TV Calendar May 2022 - Prime Time TV Schedule & TV Episode Calendar: Track your favourite TV shows but it’s not exactly a TV schedule, it’s more for when shows are first aired, which is handy for keeping up with streaming services, or cough downloading cough.
If you sign up you can select the shows you want, then get an ical file for use in your own calendar that is always updated.
Apart from that, local TV shows are pretty much out of luck.
Thanks @tom_l and @cjsimmons. I’ll take a look at scraping. I suspect it’ll keep breaking and need lots of maintenance though.
Most of the time scraping is high maintenance and low usability.
Any slight change in the website and you get nothing.
