UHF RFID for robot mower gate

Hi

Does anyone know where I can find a guide to create a UFD RFID reader for home assistant ? It needs to read at about a range of 5-10 meters.

I will be using it to open a gate for a robot mower to drive through.

I would be surprised if you find a “guide” for that approach.
Did you consider some more classic way of detecting your robot?

I think I have cracked it with the Bluetooth presence monitoring. By setting the rssi to the right value I can get the linear actuator for the gate to activate at the right distance.

Saved me messing with rfid !

Way more practical and costs a tiny fraction of 10m UHF RFID…

Good job finding your own fix for the problem! Now dont dissapoint me and forget to send that mower down to my house and mow mine too or else were gonna have a problem pal!! ; )
