Hi all ![]()
If you run Google Assistant the manual way - your own Google Cloud project, service account, and a hand-written google_assistant: YAML block - you'll know the pain of managing it once it's running: every exposed entity, PIN, 2FA toggle, or alias means editing YAML and reloading.
I built a small HACS integration to fix that, with one goal: make it feel exactly like having Google Assistant through Nabu Casa Cloud. Same card in Settings โ Voice assistants, same point-and-click entity-exposure UI, same 2FA and report-state controls.
This isn't a replacement for the built-in google_assistant integration, it uses this under the hood - just wraps it and brings it to the frontend. I'd still reccomended get the manual YAML setup working first, then switching over.
It's brand new, so expect rough edges. Bug reports are hugely appreciated!: Issues ยท edmogeor/hass-ga-manual-ui ยท GitHub
And a big thanks to Nabu Casa for Home Assistant. This isn't a replacement for a Cloud subscription - Cloud setup is still far easier, and funds HA's development. It's just a quality-of-life tool for those already running a manual config. If you can support the project with Cloud, please do. ![]()
