When i want to manage my home and i open the app or open de ui via the a browser, it takes a lot of time (minutes) before i get connected. After connection it is ok.
What can i do to track wat is the reason for this problem. Is it my network. I run it in HAOS on my synology nas. is the nas the problem. Or is the config of haos in virtual machine the problem. Is the problem caused by some integration i have in HA? Please help me determine the problem.

Start by looking through the logs, and if you need input on your network, NAS and so on you should provide details so it’s not guesswork?
I run my HA on a VM using a Synology RS1221 with no lag. What NAS resources are dedicated to the VM?
CPUs, Memory and VM priority?
2 cpu’s, 2gb (as said in de install doc’s)
I have no priority given because it is the only vm i am running.
I never see the cpu use of the vm above 15% so i think this is no problem
Are your commands local or going via a web cloud integration?

I think that dicussing the problem here has solved it. Connecting to ha is normal again. Without making anny changes. I do believe it wil come back. Problems don’t solve them selfs.
Try to up the ram amount to 4Gb.
2Gb is fine for a starter system, but some integrations, like ZHA and many addons can easily bring you over the 2Gb mark, which means the swap file will be on overtime.
Thanks for the tip! My HA is a lot quicker now. Not only connecting but also the other funcrionality. Super! (Wy did’nt i think of that?)

Glad you are running better! The method you are using to connect to HA outside of your home network is also something to consider.
