.Hi, The UK met office integration was working until they changed their system autumn last year
I’ve obtained a new API key and entered it., yet I’m getting Failed to connect.
I case it was me screwing up the API key , I’ve reset it and tried again. I deleted the old Met office integration, I still get failed to connect on the integration set up.
Does the HA met Office integration work since the Met Office changed their system ???
We are pleased to confirm that your recent application for a Met Office Weather DataHub plan subscription - Free - 55 Calls / Day for Richard Bown was approved on 09/02/2026 07:50.
It looks like you subscribed to the wrong plan. I see you’re using Site-Specific Blended Probabilistic Forecast which is a trial plan and limited to 55 calls/day for only 30 days.
You should be using ‘Global Spot’ which comes with free 360 calls/day.
That’s strange, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. Try removing the integration entirely and delete any leftover entities, then reboot HA/System. Then reinstall the integration again to see if any changes. If not, check HA logs for any errors and paste here.
Also, can you confirm you’re using latest HA Core?
Thanks thats got to the bottom of it. Now to try and remember how to upgrade HA core using pip3
nearly 18 months since I last upgraded . Unfortunately the upgrade option shows no upgrades available,
I am not sure I should be replying to this thread with this question, but this thread is how I found the met office integration. It is working for me having just set it up. I want to combine this data with energy to see heating cost in relation to temperature. Has anyone done that? Guidance if so?
