Ultimate dashboard

One for the books. My dashboard with homey inspired UI/UX.

While I do like the Homey look and feel, I just like the core, flexibility, customization and device support of HomeAssistant better (duh).

This made me rethink if it is possible to rebuild my dashboards from scratch taking the UI friendlyness of Homey and bringing it to Lovelace.

Here the result so far!

Looking good  guess that will be a lot of config :face_with_monocle:

The big squiggly black marks? Those features or bugs?

Looks nice. This is something I would use. The biggest issue with all dashboards on all screen is the start page. It needs to be intuitive and ‘useable for everyone’. If you can make this flexible I might give it a try

What icons did you steal… ehm… used?

Most of them come from Athom’s (company behind Homey, now part of LG) public github. Some of them are custom recreations in the same style of the Homey ones.

More added features coming in:

A header toolbar has been added with auto/dark/light mode switcher, notifications, debug, logs, update. All of them show bubble popups with relevant info.

Notifications
The notifications shows important notifications while no one was home, a sleep or things that need action (like placing/bringing back a waste bin, or emptying the vacuum/mop containers for the robot vacuum). For each notification type there are optional action buttons like the ones for waste bin to check the todo action related to that notification (like emptied mop water or placed container at street or brought back container).

The batteries badge is now optimized. I’ve noticed that some zigbee2mqtt devices like remotes/switches/motion don’t update battery status immediately after I’ve replaced them, so I added a flow for such kind of devices. Those devices have a round arrows icon, which can then be clicked. A new popup opens with instructions to update the new battery status.

Debug
The debug page shows several tiles as a summary on what is important to the user. Like repairs, Watchmen errors/warnings, Integration errors, Availability errors/warnings and System logs.

Logs
This just shows the logs which can also be accessed to the native hass menu at settings.

Waste collection badge
A extensive waste collection badge with bubble popup is created showing today’s pickup and the toggles to set for placed or brought back, so the user can do that here to. This obviously is tied to push notifications (and in my setup also when the front door opens I get a notification if it is not at the street yet).

Vacuum card
The vacuum card shows a map and all sensors/actions available for my robot vacuum.

Cheers!!!

I wish someone would create a dashboard module that replicates the Homey Dashboard, which I really like.

Is there any way to test it?
