I bought this very recently released lock because its feature set has things I’m interested in (specifically form factor to fit on my gate, Matter capable, NFC/UWB option, standard key slot for battery failures). I have been unable to get it to connect via Matter. I am decently new to Matter/Thread, but so far have been successful. My first device was a landscape lighting controller and it has been running great.
To test that my Thread network could add new devices, I pulled out a new Kasa Matter-enabled smart plug and pairing couldn’t have been faster or easier. Decent proof that the system is working correctly.
Are there any other bleeding edge users of this Ultraloq device that have had success?
My Thread network is anchored by a ZBT-2. All IoT devices are on the same VLAN (Unifi Network). The WiFi application setting for this VLAN is IoT, which automatically sets the network to 2.4GHz only. Multicast filtering is off. Multicast to Unicast is off. Multicast and Broadcast Blocker is off.
