Unable to access Home Assistant Green setup despite network connection

I recently purchased a Home Assistant Green and am currently trying to set it up for the first time.

These are the steps I followed:

  • Connected the Home Assistant Green to my FRITZ!Box via LAN cable
  • Connected the power supply
  • Waited a few minutes for the device to fully boot

In the FRITZ!Box network settings , the Home Assistant Green appears correctly and has been assigned an IP address .

However, I am unable to access the setup interface:

  • neither via the Home Assistant app
  • nor via a web browser (Google Chrome)

In both cases, access to the setup page does not work, even though the router clearly shows the device as present in the network.

Could you please advise what might be causing this issue and which steps I can take to resolve it?
I would be happy to provide additional information if needed (e.g. IP address, FRITZ!Box model, screenshots).

Tried it in these devices:

MacBook pro M1 mit Chrome Version 142.0.7444.135

MacBook pro M1 mit Safari Version 26.0.1 (21622.1.22.11.15)

Ipad A16 with iPAd ios 26.2 in App

google Pixel 6a Cell Phone Android Version 16 in App

Thank you very much for your support.

Kind regards,
Max Kluger

Are you using port 8123?

Hi Max. What error messages are you seeing? What colors showing on the lights? Did you install the optional clock battery (hint: it really shouldn’t be optional)? 7 hours have passed since you posted - has it now completed downloading of updates? Have you restarted it to complete the installation cycle?

I Managed to Setup the System completely new with an SD Card. After that I had Access to my Home Assistant Green. It was just a Software issue. Thanks very much for Your Help.

I have a very similar problem to Max. My HA Green is new today. It is booting and shows on the network with an IP address. I can ping it from my laptop.
I plugged a screen into the HA green and it shows as running OS version 16.2, core 2026.1.0
I cannot connect to it via either browser or iOS app.
I did install the CR2032 battery.
I have rebooted the HA Green several times without success.
Is it recommended I get an SD card and reinstall?
Any help would be appreciated.
My laptop is running W11, and the browser I am using is MS Edge.

The iOS device is an iPhone 15 + running iOS26.1
When I enter the IP address as http://192.168.178.46:8123 I get a response “We couldn’t connect to Home Assistant” with “Domain: HomeAssistant.OnboardingAuthError” Code 1.

I can connect to “observer” from my browser on port 4357 and it shows as:
Supervisor: Connected
Support: Supported
Health: Healthy

This was what i did. It solved the Problem!:
