Hello,
I know this topic have been discussed before, but none of solutions helped to solve my problem.
So I have broadband router
I have home assistant connected to its LAN via ethernet
If I connect my laptop to LAN via ethernet I can access home assistant
via following address http:homeassistant.local.8123
and this is the only way how I can access it.
I’m not able to access it by IP address even on local LAN 10.1.1.111
despite that I can access all other LAN devices by IP without problems - so this is certainly something home assistant related.
I tried to set up remote access via VPN and via duckdns.org and Tailscale - nothing works - in the best scenario I get response 10.1.1.111 refused to connect
Any ideas, what is wrong with?
Previously I used it with different router and it worked. Network has ben reset since then and it gets correct IP4 address 10.1.1.111 from router/gateway 10.1.1.1 and IP6 is disabled
Well I rebooted it once again and ping homeassistant.local still returns that IP6 address although IP6 is disabled. However I managed to access home assistant
not by 10.1.1.111 or 10.1.1.111:8123 what returns “10.1.1.111 refused to connect” but by specifying http://10.1.1.111:8123 - this way I’m now able to access homeassistant via VPN at last - what is fine for now. Apparently home assistant denies access via https what is used by default in browser so one should strictly specify http instead of https.
