Unable to connect via app since iOS 26.3

My Home Assistant companion app fails to connect to my HA server (Local or Cloud) ever since the most recent updates to iOS (as best as I can tell, that was the triggering issue). I try to delete and reconnect to my server, and occasionally I’m able to make a single connection after setup. Unfortunately, as soon as I exit the app and return to it, I am once again unable to connect. I have tried configurations with the more secure and less secure options as well as location tracking on and off, it makes no difference. At the same time, I have no problems logging onto my HA server via web browser, using direct local IP connection or Cloud connection.

  • Note: I do run developer beta iOS; however this issue manifested itself in the final release version of iOS 26.3 (non-beta) and continues with iOS betas of 26.4.

If it has any impact, my network is run on an Ubiquity UDM Pro, and I recall that there was a recent update to Unifi OS (automatic updates enabled)

I too am seeing this on Tahoe 26.4 Beta and iPadOS 26.4. So far I haven’t seen it on iOS 26.4. (All these are at beta 1). I’ve also noticed that Safari 26.4 (21624.1.11.11.3) is taking much longer than previously to load the default dashboard.
