Unable to Copy Entity_ID

Is anyone else having an issue with copying an entity_id using the icon under the entities settings? I delayed the last 2 Core updates and just noticed this after updating to 2026.3.1. I’ve tried using Chrome and Edge on Windows as well as the Companion App on an iPhone. I know it’s not an issue with my mouse because the same copy action works in other apps such as Node Red. I will open a case if needed but wanted to confirm if anyone else is seeing this.

If you select the text then press the button it works.

What system specs?

Function works with MS Edge (work PC).

that only work in my Edge, in FF, only mark the txt, and right-click or ctrl-c works

don’t seems like i get any errors, anywhere when i click the button,
thou in FF i get a bunch of CSS-errors it seems like, even when i use Default Theme, Nothing ive seen few days ago, now it on ever page i load
Probably card-mod, have to change to ux

Nope … didn’t change anything

Weird , tried the example in the bug report, from automation , there i get the message “copied to clipboard” … But there is nothing, ctrl-v or click-paste
Didn’t get that in the more-info ( Thou im not sure i ever did there )

same issue. started a few days ago. i am on 2026.3.0. There is a lot of loose talk about it actually being a chrome security issue with non secure web sites. That would explain why it seems to be HA version agnostic and it works with edge or other browsers. i don’t have time tonight but i am planning on getting a cert for my instance tomorrow and will post back results

That might explain why people are saying Edge isn’t working yet it is for me here at work, since I’m using a remote connection to HA via Nabu Casa. ie: httpS.

Confirmed.

It does not work on my local network (http) but it does remotely (https).

Firefox and Chrome.

It is a security setting in either the app or the OS to allow access to the clipboard.

I’m thinking it’s an OS update. I downgraded to an older version of Firefox Developers Edition and disabled automatic updates, but the problem remains.

I can confirm that it doesn’t copy locally (http) but does if I connect via Nabu Casa (https).

also I can’t copy past long lived access token.

Same here with Firefox and Apple os Ventura.
It works however when opening HA with phone connecting to my router with port forwarding
