I am trying to remove these old “Device Tracker” entities, but I am unsure how.
I can’t edit them in the UI, and I can’t figure out where else they are coming from.
I deleted them from known_devices.yaml and rebooted.
They are still listed in entities, and known_devices.yaml is still empty.
Searching configuration.yaml, the word device does not appear anywhere.
Any help is appreciated.
Try searching in a system file (do NOT edit it) with a name like “core.entity_registry” (do not have an access to PC, cannot say the exact name) for these entities. May be you will find an integration which created it.

I removed the iBeacon Tracker integration and rebooted. That may have been it, because I no longer see them. I don’t know what iBeacon is or why I had it configured,but there were dozens of device tracker entities from it.
