Unable to Edit Automations via Related Entities Menu in Overview

I’ve encountered an issue with the latest version of Home Assistant where editing an automation through the “Related” menu no longer works as expected. Previously, I could navigate to an automation from a related entity by:

  1. Selecting the entity in an overview.

  2. Tap the three dots and choosing “Related.”

  3. Selecting the desired automation or scene from the list of related items.

  4. Pressing the three dots on the automation and selecting “Edit entity” to modify it.

However, now, when I press “Edit entity”, I’m redirected back to the overview screen instead of being taken to the automation editor. This behavior makes it difficult to modify automations directly from the related entities workflow, which was a convenient feature.

Expected Behavior:
The automation editor should open to allow for modifications.

Actual Behavior:
Selecting “Edit” redirects back to the overview screen.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? And should it be reported?

Exactly the same for me, I have to open another window/tab and edit directly from the automations main page. Happened when I updated the core to 2025.1.1 from 2024.12.x. Has persisted through to 2025.1.3

I believe it’s been fixed already for an upcoming release
