Complete HA noob here, so please forgive if I’m missing something really obvious. I’ve installed home assistant and just trying to understand what’s what. Most tutorials show Addons being available, via either the Supervisor link (deprecated now?) or under the Settings section. The problem is that I cannot find any option to access AddOns …anywhere. Where is it? How do I add, AddOns? Do I need to enable AddOns somewhere? I’ve spent a long time looking at this and had to resort to asking fro help. Please help. Thankyou
The supervisor is not depreciated, it’s just that access to the pages that used to be listed under it are now in the Settings menu.
e.g. Settings → Add-ons
What type of install did you do?
You have to be more precise. You installed home assistant…how? Home assiatnt os, ha supervised on debian…
Thanks for the reply. I do not have “Settings → Add-ons” - I have other links under Settings, but that link does not appear for me.
I have installed on a Synology NAS drive, via Docker (homeassistant/home-asisitant:latest), if that makes a difference
Yes it does. There is no supervisor or addons with that install type.
See the table here: Installation - Home Assistant
Wow - okay, thanks for that. So complicated for new users :{
Thanks for your help
