I can login to Nabu Casa cloud. But when I try to access the remote access URL I get an “Invalid user name or password” error. Shouldn’t these be the same credentials?

Check your user. There is a local only setting. Make sure that is not marked.
I don’t see a local only setting under my user settings or Nabu Casa settings. Can you tell me where I can find this setting?
-Thanks
No these are different.
“Nabu Casa cloud” is service provider’s website. It uses whatever credentials you saved for this website.
“remote access URL” is accessing your Home Assistant server remotely. These are the credentials you saved for logging in to Home Assistant.
Thanks I didn’t local access only selected. It must be a password issues as described above.
I mispoke. My current password for accessing Home Assistant, does not work with the remote URL used to access HA remotely. I have external access checked as you can see below.
-Thanks
I misspoke. See my response below. My HA credentials do not work with the remote URL. I have remote access checked. I might try changing my password and see if that has any affect.
-Thanks
I found I was using my email address instead of my username. But after this it still didn’t work! So I changed the password of my local instance of HA and it worked afterwards. Not sure why I had to change it though.
-Thanks
Yeah that’s odd. Definitely should not be required.
