Been trying for the last two days to get my Matter devices connected via thread. I’m able to get both Matter and OpenThread Border Router add-ons running with no problems. I’m using a SMLight SLZB-06. I tried both USB and PoE setups. Currently running it via USB.
The Matter, Open Thread Border Router, and Thread services are running as well. The Thread service has the OTBR pointing to the add-on and using Android + iOS credentials.
I’ve re-installed all add-ons and services multiple times, with restarts in between.
On the companion app side, I’m using Android. I have tried two phones with no success. Deleting the Home app, HA Companion app, and clearing out the Google Play Services multiuple times. I’m able to get the correct Home Assistant and this device use the same network to load the credentials as reported in many tutorials and other posts.
All device firmares are up to date, same with HA version.
Even after clean and fresh version of apps, add-ons, and services it fails the same way. I’m able to scan the QR, it connects with the device, generate Matter credentials, but then it jumps to trying to connect over wifi until it fails to connect.
I’m not sure what else to try, I’ve tried doing local installs via bluetooth connected to HA box, fails as well.
Looking for suggestions at this point as I’ve tried everything from this forum and Github.
As an update, I also installed a fresh HA on a RaspberryPI to see if it works there. Sadly, same issues.
