Hello, I’m trying to play a doorbell sound via the 3.5mm jack on the pi whenever the Google nest doorbell (battery) is pressed. To play the mp3, i’m using the Notifier Add-on.
However, I cannot use Notifier to play the sound. In the Notifier log i’m seeing “invalid audio” message, even though it should support mp3. I’ve also tried with a .wav file and multiple directories. If i change the commando from music to message, the message is spoken aloud on the speaker.
I am able to play a sound on the connected speaker using the Terminal & SSH add-on with commando paplay /media/deurbel1.mp3.
