Unable to switch to port 80

Morning,
Updated to 2026.8.0; saw the port 80 feature but can’t use it. Setup is:

  • Installation method Home Assistant OS
  • Core 2026.8.0
  • Supervisor 2026.07.5
  • Operating System 18.2

I never touched ports before, never did a reverse proxy or anything related to that. I go to Config - Network and under server port says it’s 8123 - which it is :slight_smile: Change to 80 and click save. Gives me this warning

ok, save. And immediately I get

Internet says emulated_hue might be the culprit but I don’t use it. Trying HA on 80 in web browser just hangs. Tried seeing in terminal with netstat -a and doesn’t show up.

Any ideas are welcome. Thank you!

Enter server port 8123 :down_arrow: to regain access to emulated_hue then evauluate your port distrubutions. Follow this guide

I don’t use emulated_hue and never have. There’s nothing related to it in configuration.yaml or anywhere else.
I saved with 8123; it restarted, and nothing happened. Still can’t set it to 80 with the same error :frowning:

Can you update to Core 2026.8.1?
