Under Cabinet Lighting - warm white + colors

I’m starting my under cabinet lighting project. I’ve got other lighting in my house that uses SK6812s and WS28x lighting using WLED for a controller. This all works well but since these are in an area where they’ll get a lot of close-up visibility I’d love to get the best warm white tone possible.

I’ve read about RGBCCT but the posts I see tell me that controlling them through HA is problematic.

Does anyone have a good compatible controller they’ve used for these that integrates well? I’ve got WiFi, zigbee, Zwave, and Bluetooth in my system.

If I can’t find a good controller and go with another strip, what would you recommend?

Thanks!

Point of clarity, are you trying to install temp controllable white or just a static warm white?

I’d like to be able to sometimes use the lights in other colors, not only white. Is that what you mean?

No.

There’s different colors of white…typically measured in kelvin.

RGBCCT let’s you adjust the color temperature of the white LEDs. If you just want the white side to be static (like 3000K) then you would be looking for RGBWW instead.

I understand now. Yes, then. 2700k preferably.

RGBWW is 5 wire as opposed to 3 wire. Do you know of a good controller for those that works with HA?

Or are you thinking that I should be using SK6812 and just add a little yellow?

I have a few of these and haven’t had any issues with them:

Oh nice. I read somewhere that the integration into HA with that was problematic and folks couldn’t change colors. Maybe that’s old info.

Much appreciated.
