Howdy all,
Pretty new with Home Assistant. This morning I was able to get a GE Z-Wave Motion Sensor up and working to trigger a switch and things were looking good. I then decided that I wanted to hide some of the entities that are associated with the device that I wasn’t using, so I added the configuration to hide sensor.hallway_motion_sensor_alarm_level (or something like that) since it was always the same value and I assumed that I didn’t need it for anything. When I did that and rebooted, however, “related” entities also seemed to be hidden, including the sensor.hallway_motion_sensor_burglar entity that triggered on motion and I was using for my automation.
I’ve since removed the part of the configuration that I used to hide the entity, rebooted, double checked that I’ve removed it from the configuration, rebooted, searched the internet and this forum, etc. and can’t seem to figure out why those entities won’t come back.
Before I attempt to unpair them from my Z-Wave stick and re-pair, anyone have any thoughts?
