I’ve recently just setup a new Unifi Protect setup to replace my Blue Iris setup.
Im having issues getting Home assistant to connect to it.
My HA server is on my LAN VLAN and my Cameras and NVR are on a CCTV VLAN.
For the moment there is full connectivity between the LAN and CCTV VLANs. I enabled this whilst setting it all up just to make my life easier. I plan on locking it down when im finished configuring everything.
Because the NVR isn’t on the same VLAN as the HA server the auto discovery dosent pick it up but you can add an IP address for the NVR is the HA integration setup.
So ive put the IP of the NVR in, ive setup a local only user as per the documentation on HAs website and setup an API key.
I still get a failed to connect error when I submit the setup form.
Has anyone else gotten this to work cross VLAN, or is that not possible.
