I have my Unifi Protect setup configured in HA in place of my old Blue Iris setup.
Previouslly with my Blue Iris setup when movement was detected it would trigger my node red flow and send me a HA push notification which contained the live video from the camera in the push notification via the companion app.
This was great for a quick view of my camera on my Apple Watch or iPhone.
Now ive moved to Unifi Protect, ive done the same thing. Kept my existing node red flow and just altered the entity names to my new cameras.
The flow triggers and I get a small thumbnail in the push notification. When I push and hold on it on my iPhone it opens a larger preview but its black for about 10 second before the video loads, however its frozen for another 10 seconds or so before it becomes live.
This is far too long of a lag to be useful. My blue iris setup showed the video and started playing immediately.
In HA in my web browser, I have a card displaying my Unifi camera live feeds and there is no delay there. It’s only on the companion app push notifications.
Ive tried using the High, medium and low feeds and all exhibit the same lag on push notifications.
Is this behaviour expected with Unifi Protect? How can I improve the lag?
