Unified Home Assistants

I was inspired by the main dashboard of my UniFi Site Manager and I decided I needed something similar to control my 10+ Home Assistant servers.

Connection is monitored 24/7 through Remote Home Assistant. It also returns a sensor.servername_number_of_updates entity so I know if there are updates waiting for me… Each card easily directs me to the respective HA server it refers to. A number of servers are monitored through my Tailnet. They are not exposed to the internet but are easily accessible as long as I am connected to the restricted network.

Uptime is monitored by Uptime Kuma running as an add-on on my main HA server. Uptime Kuma can also monitor the clients through the tailnet.

The nice dotted bars are thanks to the Uptime Card

Now, if only I could have a sensor that tells me the number of ‘repair issues’ on each server, my job would be complete. I’m also considering adding a reboot button for each server. For safety, I’m holding off on that for now.

I hope this, in turn, will inspire others!
