Universal Time Limits and Restrictions on device usage

I wanted to just clear up where Allow2 fits in and where Home Assistant fits in.

The primary goal of Allow2 is to provide a universal Parental Freedom platform, the interfaces and APIs and controls that enable complex and powerful time rules across everything you want.

BUT, Allow2 is not meant to be a self-contained product, it’s meant to be used by all other products to embed the controls in those products.

So rather than playstation or any other manufacturer wasting time building a “partly useful” parental controls and waste time on that instead of their game, they simply leverage the power of Allow2. So for payments, they might use Stripe, for analytics, Google Analytics, for Parental Controls, just use Allow2.

So the delineation is the control aspect. Allow2 takes away the need to work on the hour blocks, allowances, types of days (patented), holidays, bans, requests, control apps, child apps, etc. They let Allow2 take care of that. But they need to implement their solution or product. For Home Assistant, Allow2 doesn’t do any of that. But if you want to add Parental Freedom to your home setup, you don’t need to build complex things, just hook it up so actions in your home translate to usage for children and actions in Allow2 or allowances or bans, etc translate to control of the devices in your home in home assistant.

I hope that makes it more clear.
