Unreliable Zigstar UZG-01 CC2652P7

I’ve got 20+ Tuya mmWave presence sensors hidden in my roof space paired with Conbee 2 + Z2M working 100% reliably for the past 2 years. The only issue with the setup is no easy way to restore backup in case of coordinator hardware failure.

After some research, people speak very highly of CC2652P7 and the POE Zigstar UZG-01 seemed like a perfect solution. Easy to backup/restore and can work with backup server without having to physically move the dongle to another machine and fiddle with USB passthrough. So I climbed in the roof space to pair all 20+ of the sensors with the Zigstar about a month ago.

So far, I’ve had 3 random disconnection between Z2M and the Zigstar(z2m: Error: Error while opening socket) which is not the biggest issue. What really disappoints me is the random responsiveness on some sensors. The delay range from a few seconds to a minute with no error in z2m log. While one particular sensor is experiencing an episode, another sensor in the next room can work perfectly fine and update object distance in real time accurately.

The Zigstar is placed exactly where the Conbee 2 was, set to same channel(11) as before and one of the unresponsive sensor is 2m away from it. None of the 7 Unifi AP are on channel 11.

Anything I can try before I climb in the roof space to pair all the sensors back to the Conbee 2 or potentially Conbee 3?

I believe the Zigstar is on latest firmware
ESP32 fw ver: 0.2.6 (prod-solo)
CC2652P fw rev: 20240710

Zigbee and Wifi channels do not use the same channel numbers. If you’re on Zigbee channel 11 you need to ensure that none of your APs are using Wifi channel 1:

Thanks for the tips. I do have 1 AP on channel 1, but I suspect it’s been on channel 1 since first installed 2 years ago.
