Note:
The bar heights indicate cell voltage, not state of charge.
The percentage SOC can be read in the legend if an SOC sensor is assigned.

This looks interesting.

How does it gather the data necessary to monitor at battery cell level? My Solaredge battery, as far as I’m aware, doesn’t expose battery cell data to Home Assistant via any official or custom integration.

Hi, thanks for your interest!

The card itself does not read or collect the battery data directly. It visualizes the cell-level sensors that are already available in Home Assistant.

For the basic cell visualization, you need at least one voltage sensor per battery cell, for example:

  • sensor.battery_cell_01

  • sensor.battery_cell_02

  • sensor.battery_cell_03

  • etc.

The cell voltage can be provided in V or mV.

Additional sensors such as SOC (%), cell voltage difference/delta, balancing status, minimum/maximum cell voltage, and other battery sensors are optional and can be displayed as well.

So, unfortunately, if your SolarEdge battery does not expose the individual cell voltages through its official integration, API, or another custom integration, the Battery Cell Card cannot retrieve the cell data by itself.

In short: the card is the visualization layer β€” the individual cell voltages need to be provided to Home Assistant first. If you can get the individual cell voltages into Home Assistant as sensors, the card can then visualize them.

Thanks for the explanation. Maybe I’ll submit a feature request to see if the official or custom Solaredge integrations can expose detail of the individual battery cells.
