Update the Alexa Instructions? *FIXED*

I’m attempting to follow the instructions to integrate our Alexa following the [Alexa Instructions] with Home Assistant but seem to be stuck. It appears the Alexa instructions are a bit out of date?

There seems to be something missing between these steps:

Click the yellow “Add a new skill” button in the top right

  • Skill Type: Custom Interaction Model (default)
  • Name: Home Assistant
  • Invocation name: home assistant (or be creative, up to you)
  • Version: 1.0
  • Endpoint:

Last month I followed the instructions for Google Home and it worked right away. Hopefully with an update (or clarifications) this one will be too. Thanks in advance

OK so I ditched the instructions in the post above. Found " haaska" which uses the lambda functions. So followed - to a T - the directions here:
http://collingwood.me.uk/blog/index.php/hass-io-and-alexa/

Where it says “You can now test your work”, I followed the directions and the test was a success. The JSON results showed every device. BUT when I try to “set it up for use” by telling Alexa to Discover My Devices - it finds nothing. Any suggestions?

FIXED IT: Followed this post and it fixed it

Thanks crzg!!!
