I updated to core 8.1 and now the dashboard does not fit on my tablet without scrolling down.
I used to get three sections across now only two. I didn’t do anything on the tablet. I updated on the phone and when I checked my tablet there was only two sections wide.
There were some significant changes. Did you look through the release notes to see if anything you may be using was affected? Some of my icons were affected with the update in my picture elements card and I had to change the uix code to accommodate it. Also, did you try purging your cache in the tablet’s companion app (or the browser cache if you’re using a browser for HA access)?
Also check that you’re not zoomed in, have done that to myself before.
Were your weather icons affected at all? if so, How did you change?
I don’t use weather icons in my floorplan (picture elements card). The icons that were affected were one’s that used uix to animate them, like fans spinning. I had to change them by targeting the icons directly using “ha-icon”, where previously I was targeting the field the icons rested in. So, I suppose if you are using card-mod or uix to animate icons in a picture elements card, you’ll probably have to do the same if you aren’t already.
I don’t know what happened with Core 8.1 but I got my dashboard all on one screen again. I was using the companion app in fully kiosk. I took the companion app out of fully kiosk and went in to the companion app settings and change screen size tro 85% and turned on full screen.
