Updating firmware for Tapo + matter device

Just purchased a Tapo P110M to play with Matter…
Wondering if the firmware can be/is updated just using with Home Assistant/Matter, or do I have to install the Tapo app on a device and do it through there??

Latest version 1.0.0

Tapo P110M

From what I remember, you cannot update the firmware for the Tapo P110M directly through Home Assistant. It has to be done through the app.

Tapo P110M via Matter shows Firmware 1.0.0 as current

I have just updated The P110M via Tapo App to the newest firmware 1.3.0. In Homeassistant I see that the installed version is 1.3.0 (correct), but the newest firmware shows 1.0.0. Does someone know why HA does not show 1.3.0 as newest? [image]
