I've had HA running for about five years. my ISP changed and now I am behind a cgnat.
I put everything under tailscale and everything is fine accessing from my phone etc.
HA runs under synology VMM . I use synology DNS for local names
Google Home Can No longer access or sync with HA, because I no longer have a static IP and I don't longer have an external DDNS set up. I'm trying to set up tailscale funnel to do this instead
I got the tail scale app under HA, and linked to homeassistant.x.ts.net
I can see it under my machines
the problem is now that in my Google Home app on my phone, I have unlinked the test project.
when I try to relink the test project it is using my old URL for login. Of course this does not work anymore so I cannot link the project to my Google Home anymore
Try to delete the Cache in Google Home APP and ALSO Google Play APP on your phone i.e Under APPS, and ofcause your Browsers Cache on the Phone
Im definitely Not a big fan of using Mobile apps, and in specific not when doing admin work on servers … I assume you have also tried to use another PC/Laptop, to “exclude” your Phone/Phone apps as the cause
I went around the houses this week with this having migrated HA from Supervised to Container. I lost hours and then it was suggested to forget it and use this matter hub addon/container instead. 30 mins later and all of my HA devices are in GH and responding quicker than ever. I can even converse with Gemini on my minis about if things are on/off open/closed and then ask for an action and check that action happened.
