Did you read the breaking changes in versions 0.95, 0.96, 0.97, 0.98, 0.99, 0.100, and 0.101?
It more than likely failed because you have an invalid config entry. Just check the vast number of other threads posted recently just like yours. Breaking changes for each release can be found in the blog post for each release.
I have exactly the same issue.
homeassistant/raspberrypi3-homeassistant:0.101.3 -> 500 Server Error: Internal Server Error (“readlink /mnt/data/docker/overlay2/l: invalid argument”)
I’m running 0.98.5. and I can’t upgrade to 0.101.3.
I would advise doing this incrementally. to each version one at a time and checking what breaks (obviously keeping a backup to rollback if needed) and check the breaking changes noted in each version making changes where necessary.
I gave up. Did install from scratch.
