Upgrade Home Assistant Core Update to 2025.1.4 make Node-Red crash

Hello,

Today I upgraded Home Assistant Core Update to the new version 205.1.4 and Node-Rod stop working.

Node Red version: 19.0.0

Im use Home Assistant on the HA Green Server

Please fix this.

Regards.
Felipe

It looks like these 3 nodes are the problem. Either remove them or correct any errors within them.

Can you report back after you fix those nodes?
I have HA Green and also use Node-Red and have not updated to 2025.1.4 yet in fear of it breaking Node-Red from your post…

(not the OP) When you say those three nodes are the problem, how / where does the OP need to go to remove or correct them? Just trying to learn as I’ve only had HA for about a month. Thanks.

Based on the OP’s logs, Node-RED is running without issues. The problem occurs when the three service calls are made from the action nodes, as Home Assistant is returning the error—not Node-RED. This suggests the issue is likely related to the integration those service calls are attempting to access.

The nodes can be located in Node-RED by using the search functionality. Search for the name listed in the log after api-call-service: to identify the specific nodes.

@MichaelSanDiego Also if the addon was crashing or rebooting, there is a switch on the addon configuration page to start NR in safe mode.

@felipe.ugarte.h It looks like you do not have a credential secret defined on the configuration page, you should.

Thanks for the help

I updated again and before any changes to the nodes Node-Red initiated without any problem.

I think the problem is the integration to SmartThings, the token only works for 24 hours since dic-30-2024 only for new tokens.

Thanks!

Samsung has NR nodes available. I don’t use smart things but seeing that these nodes a provided by samsung, they shouldn’t have auth issues constantly needing a new token.
