I have an ancient X10 3-way master / slave dimmer switch setup for incandescent lights. I want to integrate into HA, but need to switch to Zwave or Zigbee.
The X10 has 3 wires (line/load/traveler) and the “top of stairs” has 4 wires into this simple switch. The slave has 2 black and 2 red wires into an old HC-100WS or 100WS-3 switch.
Finding a dimmable Zwave or zigbee 2-wire with companion is almost impossible, except for inovelli red series. These are expensive but I need to get this working.
Does anyone know if I can simply leave the old companion switch as it is, and install a new inovelli master switch? If not, how do I wire a companion smart switch that will work with an inovelli?
