Upgraded to new os - login required but doesn't work

I performed the latest os upgrade today and it seems to have gone through ok but…
The o/s is now asking for a login

“Welcome to Home Assistant”
“hassio login:”

Using root and no pw (I’ve never changed it) produces an error:
“No such container: hassio_cli”

Any help appreciated.

Hi, I’m having the exact same issue. No SSH, no port 8123, no login.

Any input is desperately welcome.
