Use data from old solar inverter with BT via Raspberry Pi?

So recently I found out my old solar inverter in my basement has BT and there is a really old Windows application which can communicate so you can see the power the system produces and also the history on a bigger screen. Then I thought, what if I could place my Raspberry Pi 4b which is running home assistant OS next to it and send the BT data from the solar inverter to the Pi so that I can see the data in my dashboard on my mobile from everywhere in the house. The problem is, I don’t have any idea on how to do this whole thing. For me the best solution would be a plug and play solution but I don’t think there is one. I don’t know anything about programming, so maybe someone knows a solution or can just tell me if that is even possible. Thanks a lot

Name of application for windows?
Make/ model of equipment you want to control?

Esphome may be better for this project but need more info.

BlueTooth, or BLE? The second typically only supports one simultaneous connection at a time. Just a gotcha for new players, in case you are getting connection errors during experimentation and troubleshooting.

So, the application for Windows is named Sunny Explorer, more specifically it’s SUNNY EXPLORER 1.07.29.R

My old solar inverter is the SMA STP 8000TL-20

Thanks for answering

Thanks, but I do just need one connection at a time, because I don’t have to connect my laptop anymore if this works

Does your device have the WiFi or RS485 options as well?

I did a quick Google search on your model number and ‘homeassistant’ and got a quick hit.
Have you looked at the SBFSpot Hassio add-on?

No it doesn’t, it only has Bluetooth. I could buy this addon but it’s expensive

With RS485 module it may be easy to control with esphome

RS485 data module
