Hi there
I’m looking for confirmation (or otherwise) that its OK to use a set of daily resetting meter utility helpers as inputs to the energy dashboard. I seem to be getting conflicting information as to whether or not the fact that the daily utility meters reset every day might cause issues for the energy dashboard when looking at energy flows across (say) months. The utility meter helpers I’m using are themselves fed from Integration Helpers and I could use those in the energy dashboard instead, as their values never reset. I’d prefer not to as I currently exclude these integration helpers from the recorder to optimise database size (as the utility meter is just picking up the state of the integration helper and doesn’t need its statistics). I’d be grateful if someone could give me a definitive answer.
The energy dashboard can deal with daily resetting totals just fine.
To expand on Tom’s (correct) answer: the energy dashboard uses the long-term statistics data for all the information it calculates and displays. The state of an entity (and therefore how often it resets to zero) is completely irrelevant.

Thats brilliant ! Thank you very much Tom and Rick for your clear and definitive answers. Very much appreciated
