Hello everyone,
I am relatively new to home automation and couldn’t find a direct answer to my question.
I would like to read various Eltako intermediate meters, e.g. model ‘WSZ14DRS-32A’, into HA via RS485 BUS. This would probably be possible without any problems using the Eltako IP gateway ZGW16WL-IP, but, well, it would be boring and require additional hardware ;), because I have a Beckhoff CX5140 as a native host. For the Beckhoff, there is, among other things, the ‘KL6041’ BUS module (KL6041 | Bus Terminal, 1-channel communication interface, serial, RS422/RS485 | Beckhoff Worldwide), which supports the required baud rate. The question now is whether HassOS can address this module natively, accept the data from the BUS and process it. It would be great if the Beckhoff modules could be used directly in HA without any detours. What do you think?
I’m happy to post hardware information. However, the output of ‘hardware info’ is too long for a post. :')
Best regards,
