Using Kindle Fire as Alexa

Was gifted two 5th Gen Fire tablets and set them up as wall panel control units using Fully Kiosk Browser combined with HADashboard. Things are working well.

What I’m wondering now is if it’s possible to use the tablets’ built in Alexa functionality to start controlling things via voice commands.

Currently they don’t seem to support voice commands and require Alexa to be called with a button press, which is less than ideal. Is there anyway to work around this? Perhaps some type of microphone component I can add to Home Assistant? My knowledge of these tablets functionality is quite limited so I’m not sure if what I’m trying to accomplish is possible in the system.
