Hi,
I am relatively new to Home Assistant. Came from Vera Lite. I was able to get my Insteon devices working in Home Assistant and then starting using the Node-Red Alexa Home skill to be able to control my lights and other Insteon devices using my Amazon Echo devices. But when I tell Alexa to turn on/off a light, she completes the task but always returns that the device did not respond. Is there a way to make it respond the correct status? Normally if the tasks completes successfully, she would respond OK. I know I can turn on Auto Acknowledge but the response seems to always be OK even if the task does not complete successfully. If possible, I would like the correct status of the task.
I have HA installed on a HA Yellow and using an Insteon 2413U USB Model as the interface between the HA Yellow and Insteon Devices.
Thanks,
Antonio
I’m getting the same issue on certain devices “Something went wrong on…(name of device)” I contacted the creator of the skill, but no resolution to this and I don’t see anyone else complaining about it that I know about. I’m using Alex + Beta and it started only after I upgraded. No idea how to resolve this - very annoying. I might just downgrade back to regular Alexa.
Hi HA11,
As far as I know I am still using Alexa (not +). I wonder if somehow all my Echo devices have updated to Alexa+ even though I have not opted in. And I am surprised other people are not reporting this issue also. Unless they are paying the monthly fee to use the HA Alexa integration.
