Using Sonoff Mini R4 as Always-On Router (No Load)

Can I use a Sonoff Mini R4 powered only with live and neutral (no switch, no load) just to act as a zigbee router?

I want to install it behind a wall socket so it stays always on, since smart plugs get turned off sometimes.

Will this work reliably, or is there a better option?

Switching the smart plug on/off does not mean it stops being a router.
The Zigbee part of the smart plug is always on.

But sure you can add one of those, it does not have to be “on”.
