My system has been running for about three years, bare metal install on a Intel NUC. I have noticed repeated, periodic entries in my Host log file that contain this item:
Network configuration changed, trying to establish connection
My “About” page contains the following:

I have been using a static IPv4 address the entire time. I did notice today that IPv6 was enabled, but I have never used it, and I actually would have expected I would have previously turned this off. WiFi is currently disabled as it should be in my environment.
Last night, for the second time since updating into the 9.x Core, I had an issue where the app on my phone, connected to the WiFi in my home, could not connect to the HA system. That issue is what led me to start looking at logs and allowed me to discover this little tidbit.
It happens periodically and I can’t correlate the timing to a specific interval in any way.
Why is this occuring? Is it possibly related to the the Core 9.x code? Configuration issue? Normal?
Not only do I not remember the last time my ISP changed my address, but the address on my HA box is static and it is not configured for access from outside of my network.
Thanks… I have disabled the IPv6 and am letting it run. No recurrence as of yet, but I will need to let it go at least another few hours because some of the intervals were on the longer side in between entries.
I disabled IPv6 at the OS level on the adapter and restarted. So far, I haven’t see the error re-appear in over four hours. I’ll check it again tomorrow to see if it comes back or not.
