I am new to home assistant and complete novice, cannot work out to connect my Velux windows and blinds, from my Velux bridge, i am currently using the Velux app and that works fine but need to import to Home Assistant. Help !!
We using Velux Gateway firmware 203, linked to Homekit.
You need a Homekit bridge configured as that’s the way Home Assistant and Velux talk to each other.

i did try that and got a bit confused. as my velux bridge has a 8 digit number over the QR code next to the house symbol, and the intergration was asking for a different code? for the password and not sure what the host name is?
Ah, so which gateway model do you have from Velux? There are a number of them, so can be confusing if you don’t know what you really need.
Did you manage to get the Apple HomeKit bridge integration installed? This is key to getting access to your Velux blinds.
Yes, i can work the velux blinds from my apple device using homekit.
Sorry, looks like you have miss understood me. Have you installed and configured the HomeKit Bridge integration into Home Assistant?
Without this your not going to be able to control the Blinds.

You need to follow these instructions, here.
Once you have that sorted, you should then be able to get the Velux Gateway added. If all goes to plan your Blinds will then be discovered.
installed that but didnt find velux, do i then add the velux intergration, or the home kit intergration, is it the home kit bridge?

For the HomeKit integration to work, you need to have an iPhone. With out that your going to find it very difficult.
What Gateway model do you have from Velux? If you’ve only got it recently then I’m guessing it’s the KIX 300. Mine has Model NXG01E on the back of it.
If you have the same one, then you need to add it to your Apple Home app, either scan the QR code or type the PIN. Once you have it in the Home app you’ll then see your Blind(s).
Now you need to follow the instructions for the HomeKit integration. If you have the Velux integration installed then remove it as it’s not needed.
Once you have everything configured as per the instructions you should then see your Blind(s) in Home Assistant.
Yes mine has homecontrol and also NXG01E on the back, it is on my iphone and also the blinds are showing on the homekit via different rooms, but i just cant get them on home assistant
