Venstar T7900 Configuration

I have two Venstar Colortouch T7900 Thermostats in my home. Both have the same firmware (latest) and both have Local API enabled. I was able to adopt one (using blank userid and password) but the other refuses to adopt. I had no idea what to use for userid and password and out of frustration just tried using none. The second one gives the error “Failed to connect”.

Thoughts?

Tried again today after Home Assistant update. Added fine with blank userid and password. Go figure. Thanks if you made some changes in the latest update.
