after Update from 26.08.0 to 26.09.0 the App don’t start.
Delete an Reinstall doesn’t help.

I have the exact same problem and analyzed it with help from Claude AI. The cause is clear and easy to fix → Bug report – macOS app 2026.9.0 fails to launch on macOS 13.x

The most recent functional version for me is 2026.7.4, which I just restored using Time Machine :tada:

In my case, the following works:

  • Open Finder.
  • Press the key combination CMD + Shift + G (or click Go to > Go to Folder… in the menu bar at the top).
  • Copy the following path and press Enter: ~/Library/Containers/
  • Look for the Home Assistant folder (or io.robbie.HomeAssistant) and delete it.
  • Press CMD + Shift + G again and enter this path: ~/Library/Group Containers/
  • Search for the folder group.io.robbie.homeassistant and delete it as well.
  • Delete the Home Assistant APP
  • Restart your Mac and open the newly installed app.
