Vertical blinds card

I have vertical blinds, and wanted a card that actually looks like vertical blinds rather than a generic cover control.

So here’s one.

  • Visual representation of the blinds and their open/closed state
  • Preview in the card selector, so you can see it before configuring anything
  • Gets suggested automatically when you add a cover entity
  • Entity names rendered using HA’s own formatting helper, so they match everything else

Already in the default HACS repository — this is just me belatedly remembering to post about it.

Is there a Slats_slide_direction allowing them to slide to the right, not just left?

I see you can dim the slats by altering the RGB colors as they close. The room darkens as you close them and brightens as you open them, and the slat color follows. Maybe in a loop, following the percentage?

…Just like to impress the visitors…

@DeLorean Did you log an issue with the creator of this 3rd party application?

No, I didn’t log an issue with the person who created that card, because it’s made for horizontal shutters. Mine is for vertical blinds.
There are other similar cards, so I’m not going to assume that logging an issue gets my request actioned - especially when there are plenty of other issues already in the queue.

That’s a good suggestion, I like it. Any chance you can make it an issue in my repo? I can try to get it done in the next week or so, and that way you’ll get notified when I’ve got something to test with.
