I have View Assist configured on an Echo Show 5 Gen 1 but am having issues with it playing music from Music Assistant. The problem is that View Assist is supposed to create a media player in HA which can be picked up by MA but this isn’t being created. Has anyone else had this problem?

I also have this issue. I don’t see a new media player even after starting over with View Assist.
To be clear. View Assist Companion App (apk and integration required) provides a media_player device that can be used with Music Assistant. This will be added as usual in Music Assistant. You can reach out to us in the View Assist Discord for additional troubleshooting and/or visit the Music Assistant folks for help in setting the media_player up in MA.
Same issue, I have both the View Assist and the Companion App installed and got it setup, but no media player from it ever appears in music assistant.
Having exactly the same problem
In Music Assistant, I had to add a Home Assistant MediaPlayers integration and that picked up all the players I had in HA. I did it so MA could find the View Assist tablets I’m using and send audio to them. Still trying to figure out how to get the music info and album art to show up when it’s showing the Music tab in View Assist Companion App.
