After updating Home assistant today my zwave stopped working. Looking in the zwave js control panel a virtual node has appeared node 255. It is called Broadcast. I have not added this and it appears to be continuously running. You cannot change any of it’s parameters. There appears to be no way to get rid of it. I am not the best at programming or entirely understanding whats happening but can grasp the idea when explained to me. Should this node be there or is it a bug of some description. I have restarted HA after reconnecting the usb’s,in case it was a dodgy connection on the coordinator, restored the zwave app back to last week. Any ideas.
after a bit of research i have found that z wave js ui a virtual system node labeled Node 255 (Broadcast) appears by default. don’t know whether this is stopping my zwave. However i do not use the zwave js ui so will remove it and see what happens.
removed zwave js ui and it’s back up and running. pointed myself in the right direction.
