I know that virtualbox images of home assistant aren’t officially supported, …
When I’m using Home Assistant on VirtualBox with the Sky Connect dongle, and ZHA, and I press the reload button on the Settings - Integrations menu, my virtual instance freezes and I have to crash out of the virtual machine from the base OS (Ubuntu) using xkill.
Because the virtual machine has frozen and is then reset from my last snapshot I can’t retrieve any logs from HA, and I don’t know how to retrieve the logs from Ubuntu. Virtualbox also freezes so I’m not able to retrieve any logs from it, and any that are unsaved are lost when I xkill it. So I don’t have anything really to go on. I’m just hoping that this is a known problem.
I’m committed to using Virtualbox due to my remote access situation (single entry\exit to a secured network based on the bare metal server which manages all of the virtual servers), and I’m stuck with ZHA as some key hardware won’t run on anything else.
