Are you sure with the ip address?
Could you provide screenshot of the status page?
Here ist the screenshot with the AVReporter set-up that works for me. Try to use it with exactly the same parameters and your own IP address:
In my above picture is:
-Value 728 the pH value of 7.3
-Value 793 the redox with 793mV
-Value 286 the temperature with 28.6°C
This is my screen, it seems that it does not read, but I do not understand why, I attach a screenshot.
It looks good, but I have looked at values, put ap and elfin next to it in case it was a wifi signal problem and I do not see where the failure is, I do see that in the communication I have it only receives does not send.
Did you verify A-B wiring?
Yes, Curiously, among so much evidence, he sometimes reads the address.
I think it’s going to be a wifi power problem, I’ll try with an elfin with an antenna to see

This is an interesting thread, but far too long to read everything. I was trying to get my Vistapool WiFi module working with Home Assistant. Turns out Vistapool (and Dagen, probably others too) are basically Hayward stuff. So, I looked for Hayward integrations and bingo! This one works great for me: GitHub - fdebrus/hayward-ha. It lets you see your sensors and control everything like your Vistapool app. Just thought I’d share in case it hasn’t been mentioned yet!
Good. It has me crazy… I have it exactly as you have it and I do read it but sometimes. I have even put the AP on top of the Elfin (which by the way I bought one on Amazon with an antenna and it has improved, at least sometimes I see the reading)
Buff, very interesting I’m going to try I’m telling you.
Try to change “04 Input register” into “03 Holding register”.
Try to increase Autorefresh to 5000 ms at least.
All registers should be read using Holding Registers (Modbus function code 0x03).
The only exception is Measurement registers, which should be read using Input Registers (function code 0x04). These are located in the range 0x0100–0x0111 (decimal 256–273).
For those who have Vistapool and also RS485 for the moment I am pulling with this integration in the cloud GitHub - fdebrus/hayward-ha until it manages to put it at home. Regarding the input 04 or 03 I am not sure where the failure is but I have readings at times.
looking to turn off/on the pH relay - any idea which register is to be used?
i want to turn off this relay when i am adding fresh water after backwash. i know i can add a delay for pH relay, but is there not a way to turn it off/on ?
Based on the Vistapool registers description, there is no direct access to the ph pump relay available.
Good mornig to everyone.
I’ve got two cuestions.
- Is it possible to visualize the chlorine production intensity level in g/h?
- I would like to be able to view and modify the Set Points for pH and Redox — is this possible?
Thanks in advance.
