Up until last May I had two Vizio TV’s integrated in my Home Assistance instance. I came back from vacation and without installing any updates all of a sudden my Vizio devices are showing up as just Media Players. I can no longer see when the TV’s are turned on to regular tv nor change inputs or volume. I had automations that ran if the TV was turned on at a specific time and a few other automations. None of these have worked since. I have tried uninstalling the Vizio Integration and the devices at least 20 times, I know the definition of insanity, but the Tv’s always always get installed just as Media players again and all I can do with them is cast to them. Now that it is fall and I have time I have spent hours pouring over solutions online including all the info on the actual integration page but for the life of me I cannot get it to work. I have combed through the logs but while I am at an intermediate techy level I cannot make sense of anything that would solve the issue. The only troubleshooting I can provide is that the actual Vizio integration does add the two TV’s as Media Players, but the actual “Vizio Integration” has an error on it in the Integration page. I have tried reloading it many times to no avail.

Never mind, I installed the current HA update 2024.11.1 and all is good now.
